Mechanical Engineer from the Technical University Federico Santa Maria of Valparaiso, made his career mainly in the copper mining either in the small and in the large ones.
In the small mining he had his own operation to produce copper concentrate, while in the big mines he reached the position of Plant Superintendent and qualified as Hydraulic Site Technical Inspector (ITO), and expert in mining Risk Prevention recognized as expert level B by the National Mining and Geology Service (Sernageomin).
Industrial Engineer, made his professional career at Nestle during 41 years in Chile, Latin America and Europe in several engineering and managerial positions. Worked for 10 years in Engineering. Spent 4 years as packaging engineer in Nestle Spain based in Barcelona focused on packaging for chocolates.
Back in Chile, took the position of Packaging Manager for Nestle’s operations in Argentina Uruguay Peru and Chile. After 7 years, was invited to join Manufacturing Development in Corporate Operations (Switzerland) for performance standardization of packaging lines at a global level. After 3 years, he joined the Corporate Technical Packaging as Senior Packaging Engineer. Since 2020 he joined Julio Depino’s start up (classmates at engineering school) as COO.
Commercial Engineer from the University of Concepcion, with several postgraduate studies in Finance and Business Management at local and international level (University of La Sabana Colombia, IMD Switzerland, London Business School UK, etc). Extensive local and international experience as CFO, mainly in Nestlé.
In Chile he was Divisional Controller for several product categories. , and in addition, he worked as Regional CFO for Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador, and as the Global CFO for the Strategic Business Unit of Dairy Products worldwide based in Switzerland, as well as for Nestlé Operational Services Worldwide, the company that manages the Group’s shared services from the headquarters in Switzerland.
